The Wolfsonian-FIU’s museum shop and café, The Dynamo, provides South Beach with a unique venue for thoughtful contemplation and interaction with genuine artifacts. Inspired by The Wolfsonian’s collection of communication arts, architecture and design, industrial design, and political propaganda, The Dynamo was designed to incorporate the industrial objects and design motifs of the collection’s era. The Wolfsonian-FIU galleries are replete with objects that illustrate how bold design can re-interpret even the most basic functions. You’ll find an equally stimulating array of items in the museum shop, such as innovative desktop, personal, and travel accessories; T-shirts; paper products (including items produced by the museum from objects in the collection); and the finest in contemporary design, from kitchenware and items for the tabletop to wristwatches and wall clocks, sure to suit all budgets. There’s an abundance of consumables both fun and functional, and for all ages, too.

The Wolfsonian shop carries a broad selection of books, design periodicals, and Wolfsonian publications, including exhibition catalogs and issues of The Journal of Decorative and Propaganda Arts. We also provide gift certificates for those friends and relations who prefer to make their own selections. We can create corporate packages and prepare special orders for large quantities as well. Call our friendly staff for more details or to inquire about items not pictured. At present, the Wolfsonian museum shop does not have a merchandise catalog.

At the Dynamo Museum Café visitors can enjoy a meal and browse the museum’s exclusive line of merchandise, from attractive giftware to an impressive selection of books on design, architecture, history, and banned literature. A stylish venue for dining and shopping, thoughtful conversation, or private contemplation, set in an environment where patrons interact with genuine artifacts.

Daily Lunch Special
Shop till' you drop, then lunch at The Dynamo for
$10 pp, plus tax and tip. Lunch special menu varies each day and includes a main entrée, salad, dessert
and beverage.

Thinkism Thursday
Join us for our regularly scheduled program and enjoy a complete dinner at The Dynamo for $24 pp, plus tax and tip. Energy Hours at The Dynamo take place from 5pm to 7pm and include wine and bar food specials. Fixed price dinner from 7pm to 9pm; last seating is at 8:30pm. Reservations suggested.

Free Fridays
Free admission to galleries from 6pm to 9pm, compliments of the Miami Herald. Energy Hours from 5pm to 7pm: two-for-one drink specials and a tapas menu. Enjoy beer, wine, and aperitifs. Complete dinner for $24 pp, plus tax and tip from 7pm to 9pm; last seating is at 8:30pm. Reservations suggested.

Savory Sunday Brunch
Starting at noon, enjoy a savory brunch menu: mimosas and other classic brunch menu items (French toast, omelets, bagels, etc.). Reservations suggested.

SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR MEMBERS

All current members and those who join The Wolfsonian now will receive a 25 percent discount from April through September on all regularly priced menu items served at The Dynamo Café. So sit and indulge with a little bon morsel from our internationally inspired café that's part espresso bar and part enoteca. The Dynamo also features small plates, table shares, sandwiches and sweets.
